about

I have Lyme Disease. I have had it, unknowingly, for at least seven years. I have been battling it now for two years. Fatigue, headaches, joint pain, muscle aches and more have prevented me from pursuing the musical ambitions I hoped to achieve. I lost the ability to play bass guitar slowly due to the overwhelming pain in the joints of my hands. Making electronic music was supposed to be a side pursuit as I played in a noise rock band. Doctors had no answers. As the years went by, more and more chances had to go to waste because the energy just wasn't there. I started to change gears. Electronic music became more of a focus. When the energy was there I was trying to learn what I could. Until I finally broke down from exhaustion, not being able to work for several days. The diagnosis brought some answers and some relief, but I am still fighting.

The journey since I began treatment has not been an easy one. My body's reaction to the antibiotics increased the severity of my symptoms. One such symptom directly affects my memory. I have had to relearn much of what I knew, and it remains unclear if I will ever regain what has been lost. This project is a part of my recovery. I'd like to introduce:

The HERX single series

"Herx" or "herxing", short for Herxheimer Reaction, is the result of bacteria dying off and releasing toxins into your body from antibiotic treatment, causing symptoms to worsen or flare. Despite how horrible it is, it is actually a good sign because it means the treatment is actually working. These singles will focus on different aspects of the herxing I experience. This project is the outlet I need while I progress on my health and music journey.
